Over the past few years I've discovered a real love of teaching. It's exciting to see the different approaches people take towards a task, and I often find it inspires my own work! Some people feel a bit apprehensive before starting, especially if they don't paint or draw regularly but invariably go away feeling relaxed and encouraged, having spent some time being creative and learning new skills.
I run several classes, all for mixed abilities:
Weekly Thursday morning classes. 10.30-12.30 in Eddington. £25/class or £20 if paying termly (this ensures a space).
Weekly Monday morning classes. 11.00-1.00 at the artists studio, Westminster College Cambridge.£25/class or £20 if booked in groups of 5 (no need to use consecutively).
Monthly Saturday morning classes. 10.30-12.30 in Eddington.(£25/class) or choose individual sessions for £28/class.
We cover a range of things in my weekly classes, exploring various mediums and styles. These include Acrylic, Watercolour, Pastel, Gouache, Charcoal and Lino print. The class is made up of both beginners and those with some experience. I try to allow for the varying speed people work at, with some projects continuing across a number of weeks. Most members of my weekly classes bring along their own materials, but I do have some to share for those who are beginning or not able to bring theirs along. My intention is to help members build confidence and skill in various techniques, but most of all to have fun! The classes are small, friendly and relaxed, with plenty of chat for those who wish to!
My Saturday class is a bit different. They're held just once a month and for this reason I choose 'stand alone' subjects. I send out an email listing details of the upcoming classes. All materials needed for these classes are provided
